2012 was a great year. The Harvard Road Race Association was able to donate money to many local charaities from the proceeds of the 2012 race series. We appreciate all of the sponsors, runners, committee members and contributors who made that happen.

On to 2013 … The 2013 series of race dates have been set. We hope to see you at one or all of our races!

The 2013 NVGP series ended with the Ayer Fire Department Thanksgiving Day 5k on Thursday, 11/22/2012. The results are now posted.

Congratulations to all who received their hooded sweatshirt and the cash winners : Karen Knox (first), Sylvia Jackson (second), and Julie Bernardi (third) for the Women and Mark Mayall (first), Ray Johnson (second) and Bill Freeman (thrid) for the Men.

We hope to continue the series next year. Please spread the word and check back in January 2013!

Kids Trail Race 2012!!!

What a great day for a run in the scenic woods of the Bowers Springs trail system. There were 2 races held yesterday for kids 8 and under and 9 and above. The photos and the results are available. Please spread the word to your friends and get the word out about this race for 2013!

What a great day to run the hills of Harvard. Both the 5 and 10 mile races went off without a hitch today. Many runners enjoyed the cool & misty weather, as well as the homemade apple pies & honey as awards and Chef Paul’s local, homemade soup! The results are posted on coolrunning and pictures will be published shortly.

4th of July!

The 4th of July races went off smoothly this morning despite the downpours and with a new course record in the Men’s Race. Colman Hatton of Boston, MA ran a blazing 25:34 (5:07/mi) breaking the previous course record by Casey Moulton. On the Women’s side, Pattie Dalconzo ran a 36:02 (7:13/mi) to take first place. All of the results are now posted and pictures will be posted shortly.

Thanks to all the adults and kids who came out and ran our race. All of the proceed benefits local charaties. Again, thanks to all of our Sponsors for whom without them there would be no race and celebration of our County’s birthday!

2012 Running Events!

The Harvard Road Race Association is excited to be hosting three races again for the 2012 racing season : The Great Harvard 4th of July Race, The Apple Harvard Ramble 5 and 10 milers and the Harvard Kids Trail race. On-line and mail-in registration will be posted within a week. And, the Harvard Conservation Trust (HCT), will once again, be hosting the Run for the Hills Trail Race.

Nashoba Valley Grand Prix

The Nashoba Valley Grand Prix (aka the NVGP) running series has just concluded its 2011 innagural season. The runners completed the final race (Ayer Firefighter Thanksgiving Day 5k) yesterday and the full results have been posted.

The cash prizes for first, second and third will be mailed out on Monday, 11/28.

All runners who completed the series received a pint glass with NVGP logo and a pair of knit gloves. We hope that everyone enjoyed the series and comes back to run next year. Please check the web-site in January of 2012 for the races in next year’s series.
